What's the use....

Don't get me wrong. I've been to New Orleans and had a great time. The town has had its run. But have you seen the images on TV?!? If restoring NO means first having to rebuild two walls to keep the lake out and then spending a month pumping out water just so that you can assess the damage....it's not worth it. It was a poverty stricken slum to begin with.

If they feel they must rebuild, they should be smart about it. Knock down everything that is unsalvageable, spread the rubble evenly, then cover it with a mound of dirt and start over, maybe then the city would be above sea level. Or, just move the whole thing like 50 miles north of the lake.

Most residents didn't have insurance anyways. All those ghettos should be torn down and replaced with something like the canals in Venice. I would like to move around the city by airboat if at all possible.

This is exactly why I hate people....

I'm back. I've noticed that my absence was rather conspicuous. It was not entirely of my doing however. When I got home on Monday around midnight, I found that my front door had been kicked in and some of my stuff was stolen. People suck. The next day I found out that the apartment complex had found out about it around 6 p.m. but those nut licking cock suckers didn't think it was important to tell a resident that there had been a burglary at their residence. They half ass fixed my door and refuse to do any more work on it. So now i'm in the process of cleaning, packing and moving out. And my new laptop was taken so I don't have as much access to the internet right now. I'm bracing myself because i am sure when i move out the weasle dicked ferret fucker of a manager will try and charge me for fixing the door. A small nuclear device may be detonated about 30 miles west of downtown houston, so if you are in the area....duck.

You know that's right...

From SI.com:

3. University of Texas football coach Mack Brown has asked fans who attend practice to leave their cell phones at home, especially if they're equipped with cameras. Brown prefers to keep his players from being exposed until the Oklahoma game.

Thanks, But No....

I have spent the last several days in Bratislava, Slovakia. It is my first trip abroad and I have really enjoyed. I have seen what it is like to live somewhere else, I have tried no foods. I am doing whatever I can to complete immerse myself in this new culture.....but, I do have my limits.

Exhibit A:

Never, will I feel so "Not so fresh" that I will ever use Tricky Ricky Duschgel. Way to go Europe. As if you weren't gay enough.

4 more days....

I leave on saturday morning. Before then I have to:

wash all my clothes,
iron the nice stuff,
pack it all so that it doesn't get messed up,
finish scripting my presentation,
design a poster,
get the poster printed,
find an outlet adaptor so that I can charge my stuff,
find a decent map so that I know where my hotel is,
exchange currency,
arrange a ride to and from the airport.

but other than that i got nothing. I'm just haging out counting down the days. I'll see if I can find access long enough to upload pictures a couple of times while i am there. After work essentially two jobs for the last two and half months I am so looking forward to just sitting on a plane for nine hours with nothing to do but read, watch movies, and sleep. I've already decided that no matter who is sitting next to me, the first thing i'm going to say is " last time i was on a flight this long i did nothing but throw up the entire time. the bags kept over flowing. oh i wish i hadn't eaten all that chili and cottage cheese for breakfast" That should free me up a row all to myself.
